The Intellimeter RS485 to Ethernet converter is an external device that is used to interface with Intellimeter meters through Modbus TCP.

The module is a transparent interface between Modbus RTU (RS485) and Modbus TCP/IP. The same map of addresses of the meters is used to map out over TCP/ IP. Modbus register’s addresses cannot be changed.

The module has the function of a conventional serial server and converts the standard RS485 serial to TCP/IP. It has the function of Modbus Gateway, it makes the serial port equipment work as a TCP/IP network interface. The gateway connects meters via a local area network or ModBus TCP/IP for data communication and includes 24DC 15W power supply 120 VAC.
